Living a location independent lifestyle presents a wonderful alternative to the traditional lifestyle that we are all probably accustomed to. There is no denying that this non-traditional living certainly offers a unique sense of freedom and mobility that has yet to be experienced by most.
There are, however, several myths that circulate around about Location Independent Living. Here are some of them:
- Living an location independent lifestyle is for rich famous people with huge amounts of money stashed away in their offshore private bank accounts.
- It is easy to believe that a location independent lifestyle is reserved for the elite and mere mortals such as ourselves cannot do it.
- Living a location independent lifestyle is not for individuals or couples that are just starting out or have other financial obligations to consider.
- Once you start living the location independent lifestyle, everything in your life will be perfect, and you never have to worry about anything else in the world.
- As you travel the world and eventually find the perfect place to settle down, everything in your life will fall in place and be all fine.
Now that we have mentioned the myths that surround location independence, let’s focus on the traps that are said to be attached to this lifestyle.
- It is quite easy to become attached to the adrenaline rush and excitement created by constantly visiting new places.
- It is rather easy to look forward to the next planned destination so much that you tend to forget to enjoy the current place that you are staying at.
- Being attached to one place and eventually look at it more favorably than other places.
- Adjusting to different time zones can drive you nuts.
- Being easily distracted by the new surroundings, and eventually slacking off from work and other responsibilities.
These are just some of the common myths and traps that are commonly associated with Location Independence.
